One of the films I decided to research and watch was a film called 'Memento'. Memento is a good example of a circular narrative, this film starts at the end of the film and goes back through the film towards the start but it also has loops of circular narratives within the film also.
Memento is a film about a man who suffers from short term memory loss and can't remember anything for longer than a few minutes. Because of this he uses notes and polaroid images of important things he needs to take images of to remember then he writes notes on the images to remember people and places, and he carries round these images with him. He also tattoos himself with what he feels is important information about the person he thought killed his wife. He whole life revolves around finding the man he thought killed his wife.
This film was really helpful to watch to understand the idea of a circular narrative. Not only did it had the obvious circular narrative of
